RURAL HEALTH PARTNERSHIP

Partnerships, and the networks that nurture them, are essential to forging effective, long-term solutions for the health of our communities. HSRHA is a dedicated leader of multi-sector initiatives that improve access to care and leverage the capacity of resources for rural communities. These include standing initiatives such as the Rural Health Partnership Network and the Rural Heath Disparities Consortium, which strive to strengthen connections among rural providers across all islands.

These networks were integral to identifying and addressing issues like the critical shortage of Certified Nursing Assistants in the remote community of Lana‘i, as well as mobilizing partners during the early COVID-19 vaccination phase to remove barriers and ensure equitable access for rural communities.

HSRHA’s outreach and mobilization of rural providers demonstrates the flexibility and responsiveness of our networking capacity, which allows us to adapt to changing and emerging needs.
