Our collaborative leadership has helped transform the way health care is delivered for the 125,000 people living in areas where access and resources are limited, and we are committed to building a robust network of partnerships that support stronger, healthier rural communities across our state.

WHERE WE WORK
RURAL COMMUNITIES ARE WHERE INNOVATION HAPPENS
Long before we all faced the multitude of access challenges wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic, rural communities across Hawaiʻi had been struggling with how to deliver care to some of the most remote places in our state. HSRHA has been addressing these fundamental challenges for years.
DISTANCES AND INFRUSTRUCTURE
Many residents living in rural communities face transportation and basic infrastructure challenges to obtaining care.

PROVIDER SHORTAGES
Our early support for Project ECHO was the first implementation of the ZOOM platform for provider education and support in Hawaiʻi, establishing an essential tool to support provider education and growth.
